What do you read when you visit the reading room? The what? Oh, that's one of many euphemisms for the toilet. Or the lavatory if you prefer. Or how about the can, john, privy, bathroom, cludge, crapper, throne, shitter, smallest room, place of easement, khazi, long drop, loo or bog?
This morning I read a little of Delia Smith's Complete Cookery Course. All about blind baking.
